The Clerk of Courts office maintains the records of the Court of Common Pleas and 12th Appellate District Court. The Clerk of Courts is
considered the "core of the court ". The office is responsible for filing, docketing, indexing and preserving all court pleadings for
civil, felony criminal and domestic relations cases.
Other responsibilities include: accepting bonds, recording and certifying notary commissions, administering oaths, filing state tax liens
and judgment liens. Further this office is a certified acceptance agent for U.S. passports.
